West Virginia’s coal industry needs YOU to get involved and make your voice heard. The time for action is NOW. Below are some suggestions for advocacy.

 Send a letter to your local newspaper, telling your story and asking your neighbors to support the coal industry. If they print your letter, please send a copy to us at WV Coal Forum, 1900 Kanawha Blvd. East, Building 6, Suite 652, Charleston, WV 25301.

 Encourage state executive officers in West Virginia and other coal- producing states to reject the submission of a State Implementation Plan under EPA’s Clean Power Plan mandates.

 Call on all elected officials to Save Our Power Plants!
 Call members of Congress and ask them to do the following:

  •   Support the ARENA Act and any other legislation aimed to help West Virginia’s coal industry;

  •   Support Use of the Congressional Review Act for final EPA rules; and

  •   Recommend strategic reductions in EPA appropriations.
